“This is not just an internship its an opportunity. There have been challenges to say the least but one of the biggest things The Body of Art Leadership Program ingrained in me is how to be successful. Two of the biggest lessons were to be fully committed and live in integrity. I have learned to somehow hurdle every difficult challenge that comes my way. That means I have to give up my excuses and be accountable for everything that happens, good or bad. The only one who can hold me back from my true potential is myself. Advantages the program afforded me were unique career resources, networking with peers and mentors, contacts, learning opportunities, and an affluent ever-expanding support system. I have since been able to do what I love for a living and break through my success glass ceiling. Shattering old goals and expanding my career and creating a business far beyond what I thought I could do.”
“My experience with the Body of Art Program has taught me to always be in integrity not only with others but most importantly myself. I have gained strength to face my fears and to trust the process. I have learned to let go of what is not serving me so that new opportunities have room to come into my life. I continue to work on being patient with myself and others. The Body of Art has granted me many opportunities to work and learn amongst other industry peers, build strong friendships and working relationships. I see my potential and strengths through the eyes of others and have a network of support and guidance. Since my time with the Body of Art my biggest accomplishments have been another year of receiving the Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award for my exceptional work and customer service along with being chosen for a beauty feature of my work for Bridal Guide Magazine. My relationship with the Body of Art team continues to serve me as a home of exceptional Artists of all backgrounds that offer industry support, friendship and networking opportunities.”
“One of the biggest lesson learned being part of BOA is that sometimes you have to create your own opportunities. You can’t sit around waiting for things to just happen…you have to put some work in and make it happen. The program allowed me to experience the freelance industry from a professional aspect while assisting Dani, and working on set. Seeing how to properly interact with your client, asking specific questions to meet the clients request/demands, and experiencing what it takes as a leader to keep your team inspired. My biggest accomplishment since graduating BOA is the opening of my studio shortly afterwards: Francisco Catedral The Lash and Beauty Studio in Manhattan, NYC. It’s still surreal to me at times, but I was truly impacted by Dani’s program and I just ran with it. BOA continues to be my family, and will always be family. I know that I can depend on my BOA for anything..whether its a personal issue, a work related issue, or if I just need someone to talk to. It’s all about respect, and looking out for one another. The best part is that we all continue to inspire & motivate one another on so many different levels.”
“The biggest lesson that I learned during my time with BOA came very early on when Dani told me that I could have it all and that there are no limitations but the ones I place on myself. That was my lightbulb moment and I carry it with me every day of my life. Being a part of BOA has afforded me the opportunity to grow as an artist and experience things I never thought were in my reach. My goal was to get into film and TV. During the program, that’s exactly what I was able to do. My work can now be seen on LOGO, MTV, The Today Show, Local News, music videos, BET, YouTube, magazines and newspapers. While all of these things are great, my biggest accomplishment since graduating was taking on multiple mentees in an effort to give back to the community and help propel the careers of some amazing budding artists. BOA continues to sew seeds of prosperity into my life as I continue to grow not only as an artist but as an individual.”
“I owe much of my success to Dani’s program, and her friendship. I obtained a plethora of knowledge and acquired many new skills, however my greatest lessons were finding my voice in life and the industry, and secondly learning the true meaning of personal responsibility. When I began the program in 2012 I was a Nanny with a lousy income. I was feeling stuck in my dead-end job, and awful relationship. I was fed up with life. I had been casually working as a Makeup Artist for years but had no idea how to reach my goals. Since then, I have reached many of my career and personal goals. I work with people I respect, admire, and love like a family! I am honored to be Assistant Workshop Coordinator at Alcone Company where have creative freedom, and constant opportunities to network. I’ve worked numerous shows at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, body painted at the TMS Gala, have booked campaigns and commercial work such as Maybeline Fashion Rocks, Garnier, Dell Computers Alienware, and a have gallery opening and installation this month at Studio with Viky Garcia. The program truly is designed to give you all you desire if you understand that you’re investment will reflect your outcome. It will challenge you to reach a potential you may not even currently realize is possible! My life today is abundant! I feel electric with achievement, and possibility. The experience, and the lessons I am applying to my life has lead me here. I highly recommend The Body Of Art Leadership Program to anyone who may be considering it.”
